Have A Heart

The American Heart Association strives for helping people lead healthy lives, free from cardiovascular disease and stroke. Their work creating awareness for these problems and making information available on how to avoid them helps give people examples of how to live a better and healthier lifestyle.
A job or an internship at the American Heart Association gives people the chance to be a part of something big. Their work gives helps those in need of support during their sickness. If you would like to help by becoming a part of the American Heart Association, please call 1-800-AHA-USA-1 (1-800-242-8721) or visit them on the web.

Project Sage Horse Rescue

Project Sage Horse Rescue was founded by 17-year old Brittany Roston in 2007. Since then, it has helped rescue over 30 horses. These horses are rehabilitated at foster home throughout Long Island. Once they are in good health the horses are available for adoption. Once placed in a home, Project Sage volunteers visit the horses to make sure they are in a caring and healthy environment.
In order to help so many horses, Project Sage hosts a number of fund-raising events throughout the year. Monetary donations are also accepted, and new volunteers are always accepted.
Brittany Rostron keeps her community informed about the slaughter of horses by visiting local schools and other informational meetings.
